This One Is For Owners

Not everyone will own an Edencraft. The people who do already know why.

Friday and Saturday belong to owners and their crews. Two days on the water, two nights on the factory floor with food, cold drinks and the band. Doesn't matter if your hull came out of the shed two months ago or thirty years ago, and it doesn't matter if you're not bringing a boat this weekend. If you own an Edencraft, you're in.

The Weekend

Two days fishing. One day for everyone.

Barbecue at Edencraft HQ on Friday night

Friday 13 November

Lines in from 6am, weigh-in by 5pm, then a barbecue and beers at Edencraft HQ with everyone who's been out there all day.

Edencraft 255 Formula

Saturday 14 November

Fish your own plan, final weigh-in by 5pm, then a whole pig and lamb on the spit at Edencraft HQ with Good Faces 4 Radio playing live to celebrate the first fishing comp.

Crowd at Edencraft Family Day

Sunday 15 November

Fleet photo at Limeburners at 10.30am, joy rides from 10.30 to 11.30 for anyone who wants to come out on an Edencraft, back at HQ from midday for lunch and the 2pm presentation. Done by 3pm.

The Inaugural Comp

The first Legends Trophy is still up for grabs.

No home water, no boundary. Just two days to fish. Fish wherever you reckon you'll find them — the categories are tied to species, not postcodes. Every fish has to be on the scales at Edencraft before the cut-off to count, and every category you place in earns points toward the Legends Trophy.

One condition to enter: you own an Edencraft.

A Little Something From Undertow

A Free Boat Name Tee

Undertow Saltwater Apparel is back at the Owners Weekend, and they're printing every registered Edencraft boat one free custom cotton T-shirt with your boat name on it. It's their way of adding something personal to the weekend and thanking the Edencraft community for having them along again.

Registered boats only. Enter by Monday 2 November 2026 so Undertow has time to print every shirt before the weekend. We'll email every registered owner Undertow's details, or ask us and we'll send them through. They'll need your name, boat name, shirt size and a contact number. Miss the date and a shirt can't be guaranteed.

Know Before You Go

If the weather turns, and the fine print

If the weather turns, you're in an Edencraft, so the comp goes on. Unless there's a Gale warning, in which case even we're not insured for that, so we'll pause the on-water event until it blows through.

If it's still too rough by Sunday, the on-water component is off, but the factory runs regardless: supplier stalls, factory tours, live music, food and the 2pm presentation, whatever the weather.

We'll make the call by 6am Sunday morning and let every entered crew know by SMS and email.

Eligibility
  • Entry is open to Edencraft owners only. Age of the boat does not matter.
  • All fishing must be done from an Edencraft.
  • Crew do not need to be owners.
  • Junior category is under 15 on the day. Juniors must be supervised by an adult on board.
  • Female-caught categories: the fish must be hooked, fought and landed by the angler entering it.
Where and when
  • No geographic boundary.
  • Friday: lines in from 6am. Fish on the scales at Edencraft by 5pm.
  • Saturday: start at your own discretion. Fish on the scales at Edencraft by 5pm.
  • Fish presented after the cut-off are not eligible.
Fish and weighing
  • All fish must comply with Victorian Fisheries Authority legal lengths, bag limits and closed seasons. An illegal fish disqualifies the entry.
  • Fish must be presented whole and in reasonable condition.
  • Bag categories, 20 whiting and 10 squid, must be presented as a complete bag per boat.
  • The Edencraft scales are the official scales and the weighmaster's decision is final.
  • A boat may win more than one category. That's how points accumulate.
Points
  • 1st = 5 points, 2nd = 3, 3rd = 1. Single-winner categories award 5.
  • Junior lucky weight still earns points for the boat.
  • Points accrue to the boat.
  • Tie on points goes to the heaviest single fish across all categories.
Safety
  • Skippers are responsible for the safety of their crew and for the decision to go out on any given day.
  • Boats must carry the safety equipment required for the waters they are fishing.
